Trent and Abel
ABEL
On Saturday we took my son Trent’s little puppy, Abel, on his first fly fishing float trip. It did not take long for Trent to get hooked up and bring Abel’s first trout on a fly to the net. Obviously, Abel is a pretty fishy pup. He only fell off the front of the drift boat and into the water twice. We learned that Abel can in fact swim.
Only one real problem; my yellow lab, Caddis, does not like Abel even one little bit. Right now there is no way to have both of them in the same boat. Something to work on. Anyway, it was a wonderful day as it is always a treat to get fly fish with my son.
Yes, there were Abel Reels in the boat.
