Beer Can Day!

JUNE 01, 2015

Last Friday our client cancelled his guide trip at the last minute and it turned out to be a trip he will regret missing.  Rather than waste a beautiful day and a delicious shore lunch, we called our old friend, Paul Broddick, and we went fly fishing.  It was a beautiful day with near perfect water conditions and to say the fly fishing was spectacular might be an understatement.  It was what Bo terms a “Beer Can Day.”  It really did not matter what fly the guys used all they had to do was get a half way decent drift for about ten yards and a fat Rainbow would jump all over it.  You could probably have  thrown a beer can in the river and a fish would have tried to eat it!

Eleven different times the boys doubled up and had fish on at the same time.  Not only were the numbers good but the quality of the Rainbows was really exceptional.  It is shaping up to be great summer on the Little Red River so get your trip booked with Empty Creel Fly Fishing Guides and Outfitter and we will get your beer can in the water!
