Ed Engle

NOVEMBER 01, 2012

Bo spent Sunday at Arkansas State University in Mountain Home, Ar, which is just a beautiful campus, and enjoyed a fly fishing presentation by Ed Engle from Colorado.  Ed is a highly respected fly fishing guide, fly tyer and author.  He is an expert on fly fishng tail waters, tying and  fishing small flys and tactics for big fish.  Bo had the opportunity to go on a guided trip with Ed on his home water, the South Platte River, in Colorado nearly twenty years ago so it was really great to see  Ed again and participate in his program here in Arkansas.

It was a super program and we learned a few new fly patterns and a couple of techniques that we will try applying on our tailwater rivers here in Arkansas.  If you want to learn more about Ed Engle’s tactics and fly fishing for big tailwater trout with small flys just book a trip with Empty Creel Fly Fishing Guides and Outfitter.
