“Yeti on the Fly”

SEPTEMBER 01, 2012

Bo’s son, Trent, and his good friend, Brian, joined us this past weekend for some fly fishing on The Little Red River.  We had some wonderful weather and the guys released good numbers of Rainbows on a variety of flys including #14 RG/PT Cruisers, #14 Chronics and Purple Haze as well as #20 black and copper Zebra Midges and #18 green Pheasant Tails.  We grilled brats on the river for lunch and all in all just had a great time in spite of the collapse of the Razorback football team Saturday evening.

The fall season is quickly approaching so get your trip booked with Empty Creel Fly Fishing Guides and Outfitters while there are still good dates available.  The Hybrids on Greers Ferry Lake should get really active very soon!

What is “Yeti on the Fly” you ask?  That monster horse fly in the photo below was buzzing around Brian and me driving us crazy.  Bo swatted it with his hat and it landed on the cushion of the Yeti Cooler.  As a result:

Life is Good with Yeti on the Fly!”
