Bo and I caught a window of low water and just the two of us spent a day in the drift boat. A quiet drift on the river in the middle of the week provides a wonderful opportunity to really get to see some wildlife on the river. We watched this bad boy for almost an hour while he caught a fat 12″ rainbow and had a leisurely lunch. We also saw a pair of river otters, six deer, several Kingfishers and four Trumpeter Swans fly down the river. It was really a good day for a dog and his man. It’s not always about catching fish; but Bo did manage a few trout on the fly!
