The Ozark Angler/ 12-3-11

DECEMBER 01, 2011

We had the pleasure of  taking Bo’s old buddy, Tom Hawthorne, of The Ozark Angler, on fly fishing trip on the White River from Roundhouse Shoal down to Rim Shoals on Saturday.  The boys caught several nice rainbows on Pheasant Tails and “Chronics” and late in the day, when the light got really flat, they rigged streamer rods and nailed several nice fat brown trout on olive Woolly Buggers and Sex Dungeons.  Bo is a long time client and customer of The Ozark Angler and you should check out their fly shops in Little Rock and Heber Springs, Arkansas.  Bo and Tom have made numerous trips to Alaska, Montana and the famed Green River in Utah.  In July, while I am stuck in the”Dog Days of Summer,”  here in Arkansas, Bo  and Tom will be in the cool climes of southeast Alaska fly fishing the Kukaklek, Nonvianuk and Alagnak rivers for King and Sockeye Salmon, Grayling and Bo’s favorite, Big Rainbows!
