FLY TYING TALENT

I have been fortunate to travel a great deal in my life and I am always looking for fly shops to visit during my fly fishing expeditions. However, one of the very best is right here in our own back yard and that is Dally’s Ozark Fly Fisher in Cotter, Arkansas. They have one of the best selections of fly tying materials you will find and they are very well know for hosting some of the top fly tiers in the world to do small small group classes.
Tonight was special as it featured Russ Maddin, from Michigan, and Andreas Andersson, from Sweden, both of whom were here to do a little streamer fishing on the White River. Russ was an early protege of Kelly Galloup so enough said. Andreas is a commercial tier who lives in Sweden and sells his flies all over the world. He is simply a deer hair master artist!
We tied several of their well know patterns including Russ’s Circus Peanut and Andreas’s IWON Rainbow streamer pattern. Our gracious host, Steve Dally, also provided Nima’s Pizza for a great dinner.
