NO NAME CREEK

Lots of high water on the Little Red River right now and with the streamer bite a little off my good friend, Tom Gazaway, and I decided to do some creek exploring. We rowed up a couple of really beautiful creeks several miles and found some willing Black Bass. The water was still quite cool and the fish were fairly lethargic but they were still willing to eat a well presented streamer. When the water is this cool a slower retrieve of the streamer can do the trick. I actually hooked a really good Brown Trout that we got right to the boat but when it saw the net one more head shake put the streamer right in the bottom of the boat. These no name creeks can be a lot of fun to explore if you are willing to put forth the effort.
