Yampa River Unicorn
THE YAMPA RIVER, COLORADO
June 17th thru 21st, 2020
With near perfect water and weather conditions Trent and I had a super week on the Yampa River near Steamboat Springs, Co. The dry fly fishing was pretty special as the fish were keyed on Pale Morning Duns and Yellow Sallies. The streamer fishing was very effective on a variety of streamers as long as they were the color white. Of course the western standard hopper-dropper rigs with Copper Johns and RG/PT Cruisers were steady producers. Again many thanks to our outfitter, Ryan Herbert, and his guides with Yampa Valley Anglers, LLC., as well as our host @Jamie Rouse of Rouse Fly Fishing.
