REDFISH 2022

Over the years the south Louisiana marrsh has really become a special place for me and it is more than just the great Redfish that live there. The marsh just has such a special and unique beauty that sort of seems to slow life down. The wildlife is simply icredible from alligators, spoonbills, osprey, speckled trout, blue crabs, dolphins, eagles, alligator gar, stingrays, black drum, pelicans, egrets, and of course the pesky mosquitos and gnats! Of course the fly fishing for Redfish is off the chart great. For me sight fishing and hunting fish is the best of challenges. Seeing a feeding fish, making an accurate cast and watching that fish attack a fly that I designed and tied is such a thrill and it never ceases to excite!
In addition the food in that part of the country is unique and wonderful as are the people that live there. The Cajun Creole cullture is a real treasure in this special little part of our country. I am so fortunate to have been able to spend time fly fishing in marsh, espeially with my son. Hopefully there are many more days in store for us in the marsh!
