My son, Trent Goins, is a busy guy and so we do not get to fish together as often as I would like: but when we do it is a special time.  The Gunnison River got completely blown out so we headed back across the mountains to try and find some better water on the eastern slope.  Trent's reaction  shows we met with success.  Thanks to ArkAnglers in Salida, Colorado, for hooking us with guides on very short notice.  I was thrilled to watch Trent catch trout on The Arkansas River which is so different forty miles below the headwaters high up in mountains near Leadville, Colorado, than it is at home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. We had a wonderful day with a good number of quality Brown Trout mostly on streamers.  www.emptycreelflyfishing.com
