LOUISIANA MARSH

NOVEMBER 13th thru 18th, 2024

Our trip last week to the Louisiana marsh turned into something very special.  I have caught King Salmon and Tarpon larger than this Bull Redfish; but never a fish as strong as this fish.  When we finally got this Redfish into the net my arms were so fatigued and shaking that I could not hold up the fish for a photo; thus the lap shot.  The fish weighed thirty-five pounds on the Boga Grip and was guide measured at fifty inches.   The fish was well revived and you can see from the video that it strongly swam away to hopefully one day provide another fly fisher with a great thrill.  Special thanks to my guide, Will Bertrand, owner of Inshore Addiction Guide Service LLC, our outfitter and guide, Lance Ledet and our lodging host, Hunter Slate, owner Southern Time Charters.
