Rain Rain Go Away

JUNE 01, 2015

Boy has it been a cool and very wet spring!!  After last Saturdays guide trip we got the chance to do some early evening streamer fishing with Bo’s son, Trent.  Although the sky was clear and very bright even with the setting sun the fish were really turned on by the consistent high water levels of the day.  Both Bo and Trent landed several nice fish in a very short period of time on what else, Bo’s new ACC Streamer.  What a great conclusion to a wonderful day!

Greers Ferry Lake is about twelve feet above the conservation pool but the COE has not been running water around the clock as the river levels in eastern Arkansas continue to be above flood stage.  However, in the very near future you can expect around the clock generation on all three rivers which should mean off the chart streamer, and hopefully hopper, fishing on the Little Red, White and Norfork Rivers.  If you have ever wanted to learn more about advanced streamer techniques this may present a super opportunity so give us at Empty Creel Fly Fishing Guides and Outfitter and book your trip!
